Minutes of July meeting read & approved
The meeting expressed sympathy to family of John Stead on his untimely death
Correspondence Letter to Wakefield City v Methley & East Ardsley v Altofts thanking the clubs for getting the games played Letter to New Farnley re lack of response to previous letter re umpires changing rooms. Advised room to be re-hashed for next league game. Letter Woodkirk re unsatisfactory sightscreens asking for short/long term action. Short term repairing screens but problems with vandalism, long term hope to have 2.4 metre high security fence. Letter Wakefield Thornes re facilities etc - Square has worm & thatch problem, outfield now to be cut Thurs/Friday, Council have now repaired umpires room floor, changing rooms to be used in short/medium term. Chairman to write again to Wakefield Thornes. Letter from Batley re Jamshad Iqbal of Wakefield City- player meets the criteria of our league. Letter from Wrenthorpe advised Wheatley Semi Final must go ahead on original date. Letter from B Prentice ( Umpires Association re- meeting with chairman of league clubs) - discussed. Match ball from Wakefield City V Birstall was received following possible ball tampering - discussed & no further action to be taken.

Letter from Methley re poaching of players (rule 39) against Wrenthorpe - Wrenthorpe to respond to letter & Methley to provide evidence for league to decide action to be taken Townville “A” deducted 6 points for playing an ineligible player
Jack Hampshire Cup Final
Methley require selected teams to be in hand by Monday of week before final for preparation & printing of programmes.
John Skelly to be in charge of public address system
