Minutes of the CYCL Management Meeting - Held at Ossett CC On 8th March 2007
1) Apologies Mr Clegg, Mr Kidd, Mr Swire, President
2) Minutes of the Last Meeting Minutes were signed off as a true account
3) Matters arising £100 was donated to the Heavy Woollen Junior League
4) Correspondence The Chairman wrote to Methley CC and Ossett CC confirming that they were successful in their application to host the cup finals. The Chairman wrote to Adwalton CC regarding probationary period The Chairman wrote to new Farnley regarding wearing coloured clothing in the V&E Cup. It was stated that they could wear this style clothing. Letter received from Thornhill confirming their resignation from the league. Email from a non league Club inquiring about admission to the League. Email asking when fixtures were going on website, cup draws could not be found. It was stated that there is currently a lot of work going on behind the scenes regarding the website and clubs are asked to bear with us whilst this is under way
Letter from Wakefield City asking to change a fixture on a Bank Holiday. This Matter is on going and a decision will be made in the near future. Email from Birstall regarding a new player and stating that he is not Overseas. Birstall are being asked to produce the correct documentation according to the rule, to prove this. Letter received from Hunslet Nelson accepting to host the White Rose
5) Treasurers Report Report was given to the Committee Clubs are reminded that Subs have to be paid by 31st March. Various objections to fines were discussed. The League states that fines stand and further fines will be issued for non compliance to the rule.
6) Most Urgent Matters Forum Issues All the major issues raised in the forum was discussed at length. These issues are now being dealt with by the Cricket Sub Committee and solutions will be made and circulated to Clubs in the near future.
7) Chris Leathley (Heavy Woollen Cricket Area) Mr Leathley came into the meeting and discussed various funding for Junior Cricket in the area. If Clubs would like further information, please contact Mr Leathley.
8) Handbook The handbook has now gone to print and will be ready for the 26th March. The Committee gave thanks to Mr David Morris for his hard work in producing the handbook.
9) Outside Agencies The YCA Meeting was discussed Leeds Areas Cricket Council was discussed The Leeds Area Knockout: - 1st Round: CYCL V Nidderdale & District League (this game has to be played by the 2nd Sunday in June)
10) AOB White Rose indoor nets – 20 junior players have confirmed they will be attending. Players Registration – all Clubs have received the spreadsheet It was stated that the players from the Clubs that have dropped out of the League can move to any Club and only the Registration is required.
