WRENTHORPE, Carlton and Buttershaw St Paul’s were feeling just champion after a dramatic final day of the league campaign. Wrenthorpe lifted the Premier Division crown, Carlton snatched the First Division title and Buttershaw had double cause for celebration after their two teams won the Division Two and Division Four titles.

Wrenthorpe Premier Champions
Wrenthorpe collected maximum points against Batley to make certain of pipping last year’s champions Townville for the league title.
Batley were routed for 94 by Tom Baker (5-44) and Tom Innes (3-35) after Dave Paynter hit his third league century this season to guide Wrenthorpe to 253-5.
Wrenthorpe finished one point ahead of Townville who beat Wakefield City by three wickets.
Ejaz Khan (94) and Bilal Marwat (69) steered City to 232, which Townville overhauled after opener Tim Walton (77) led the way.
Wakefield St Michael’s will join bottom side East Ardsley in the First Division next season.
St Michael’s failed to escape relegation when they were routed for 78 in a nine-wicket defeat at Methley.
John Inglis finished unbeaten on 42 as Methley knocked off the runs in less than eight overs.
Iqbal Khan and Dave Sadler both hammered centuries as Ossett finished on a high note with an eight-wicket success against Mirfield Parish Cavaliers.
Mick Kaye struck a century and John Carruthers snapped up 5-26 as Birstall crushed Scholes.
Tim Helliwell made an unbeaten 69 in New Farnley’s five-wicket win at East Ardsley.

Carlton Division one winners
Carlton, relegated last season, will return to the top-flight as First Division champions.
They finished one point ahead of Liversedge, whose failure to bowl out Moorlands cost them the title.
Carlton collected maximum points for the 12th time this season when Ricky Rotch (5-23) and Michael Roberts (3-32) skittled Thornhill for 76.
They snatched top spot from Liversedge who picked up only four points from a six-wicket win over Moorlands.
Matt Butler made 79 as Moorlands posted 229-7.
Gildersome finished third after Shahid Tanvir (126no) and Simon Sterling (94no) put on 216 in an eight-wicket victory at Altofts.
Stanley’s Phil Page produced the final day’s outstanding all-round performance. He struck 118 and bagged six wickets as Stanley defeated Wakefield Thornes by eight runs.
Thornes’ defeat was hard on opener Tom Froggett (72no) and Steve Binns (46).

Buttershaw St PaulsButtershaw St Paul’s clinched the Second Division title with a one-wicket win over Woodkirk.
Mirfield Parish Cavaliers A took the second promotion place with a one-wicket success over Hunslet Nelson.
Buttershaw St Paul’s second-team made certain of the Division Four title when they beat Hunslet Nelson A by five wickets.
Wakefield Thornes A sealed the second promotion spot with a 125-run win over Hopton Mills A.
Thornes finished two points ahead of Northowram Fields A who won by four wickets at Stanley A.
