CYCLWEB Methods of communication have come a long way over recent years, with the internet and email becoming peoples' preferred method of communicating. CYCLWEB, for example, receives on average over 500 unique visitors to the website everyday, and provides a valuable portal for people to email the league.
Such is the popularity of this method that it has identified areas in the Leagues' communication policy that need reviewing which resulted in the website been closed temporarily.
It has raised questions with regards the future direction, governance and ownership of the website and this will be clarified. Clubs and individuals have also been using email to contact League Officials, instead of using the correct official channels. This was leading to misunderstandings and confusion, by messages and information not being received by the right person at the right time.
To resolve this difficulty, we have arranged to make available the e-mail addresses of the following CYCL Officers for you to contact, if required, for official CYCL business - E-mail contact details already listed in the Handbook - New helpful e-mail addresses - N.B. CYCL Secretary: Andy Haley will be on-line at some time in the future and in the interim he should be always contacted in writing, by post. I hope to issue a further update in due course and that this removes any confusion about communication from and with the CYCL in the meantime. John Tomlinson CYCL President. |
