- All communications regarding this Competition should, in the first instance, be directed to Bill Scorah, details as in Handbook.
- Results of all matches, even if not completed should be telephoned through to Bill Scorah (01977 550075 or 07761 122860)before 6.30pm on the Wednesday evening on the day after the game. We will then arrange for these to be put on the Central Yorkshire Cricket League Website.
- The points system will be three for an outright win, two points for a tie, one point for an incomplete/abandoned match. Where Clubs are level on points in the final position will be decided initially by the most number of outright wins or then, if necessary, runs per wicket for divided by runs for wicket against over the full League programme.
- In all matches, in order to complete the fixture on the arranged night, Clubs may agree to play a match with reduced overs, the minimum number of overs per game shall be four per side. The number of overs permitted per bowler will be reduced pro rata.
- The League will provide the Umpires for the Semi-Finals and Final and the fee payable will be £10.00 per Umpire, each Club to pay one Umpire. In the League programme each Club will provide their own Umpire (who must be C.R.B. Approved), and will be responsible for paying their own Umpire.
- The League will provide the balls for this Competition as part of the Sponsorship arrangements, and they will be orange in colour.
- The fixtures are as indicated however, in the case of the Semi-Finals and Final not being able to be completed on the designated night, it will be necessary to make alternative arrangements, which may affect the dates of subsequent matches.
- In the case of a tie in the Semi-Finals or Final the winner will be the one losing the least number of wickets, the next criteria will be the one scoring the most runs after half the overs, next after a quarter of the overs, etc..
- All matches to be played on a Tuesday evening with a 6.30p.m. start, over a period of about eight weeks in May to July.
- Matches will not be allowed to be rearranged and will be completed in one evening.
- The initial stages will be played on a league basis, changing to a knock out basis for the semi finals and final.
- The leagues will be organised on a zonal basis to avoid unnecessary travelling. The actual format will depend on the number of clubs participating.
- The final will be on a neutral ground to be decided by the Management Committee.
- Normal cricket rules will apply. The matches will be played over 16 x 8 ball overs, with each bowler restricted to a maximum of 4 overs.
- Each club will be responsible for providing their own Umpire.
- Entrance will be on a voluntary basis, but any club not responding to the League Secretary, by 31st January 2006, will be considered not wishing to participate.
- The regulations for Wide Ball/Fielding restrictions will be implemented as in the Jack Hampshire Trophy, and the Fielding restrictions will be amended after eight overs.
