Scholes have shown their intent to challenge for this years CYCL Premier title with the signing of former Pakistan test player Misbah-Ul-Haq. The 31 year old right handed batter has made 5 tests and 12 ODI appearances and has clocked up over 7000 first class runs at an average just short of 50!
Scholes are confiedent that all being well, he will be here for the pre season friendly and Heavy
Woollen Cup 1st round tie.

Vandals force Staincliffe Cricket Club to call it a day

STAINCLIFFE CC officials have confirmed the club has folded after the pavilion was hit by a spate of vandalism during the winter.
Last October the Halifax Road club, who were founder members of the Central Yorkshire League in 1938, were asked to leave after failing to reply to correspondence.

Devon MalcolmCYCLWEB has heard that Premiership club Wrenthorpe are looking to sign former England player Devon Malcolm for an undisclosed number of games during the 2006 season. Malcolm, 43, claimed 128 test wickets during his 40 appearances and was voted Wisden's cricketer of the year 1995. This would be second former England player to play CYCL cricket with the news that Ryan Sidebottom could be signing for Methley.
