The inaugral Birstall Floodlit 50 competition got under way last night with the hosts Birstall taking on Liversedge in the first 'semi-final'.
The event is being staged over 3 nights (14th, 15th &16th August) and it takes the form of a simple knockout competition with the final being staged on Thursday 16th August at Birstall CC .

Heavy Woollen Cup Final

The Management Committee of the HWDCC have informed us that, due to the condition of the ground at Liversedge and the weather forecast for the next 10 days, the final of the Heavy Woollen Cup will now be played at Hanging Heaton CC.

The game , between Wrenthorpe and Wickersley (SYCL), will be played on Sunday 5th August 2007 with an early start of 12.00.
