 Dewsbury Reporter Cricket Special
The Dewsbury Reporter Series has produced a two-page cricket
special with all the latest transfer news ahead of the new season.
The piece includes club news from the Central Yorkshire,
Bradford and Huddersfield Central Leagues and is available in Thursday's Batley
and Birstall News, along with Friday's Dewsbury Reporter, Mirfield Reporter,
Spenborough Guardian and Heckmondwike Herald.

In view of the current and projected
weather conditions, it is probable that a number of grounds will be unfit for play on Saturday.
We have considered the options available
and we have decided not to rearrange week 1 fixtures until later in the Season.

Following the delays in getting the 2008 handbooks circulated to the clubs, they were eventually POSTED to club secretaries on Tuesday/Wednesday.
Please note that they have been sent to the secretary as listed in the handbook - apologies to any clubs who have recently changed secretary.

 Pre-season message from the League President
I hope everybody has wintered well, April’s here and suddenly the new
season is almost upon us.
This will be the last competition before the much
heralded merger with the Leeds and West Riding League. With this in mind, I’m sure all clubs will be looking to do really well, in order to be as
high up their respective leagues as possible, so as to be playing at
the highest level achievable in 2009 in the new set up.

 2008 Captains meetingThe CYCL umpire's Association would like to remind ALL club captains of the annual 'Captains' meeting which will be held at Ossett CC on MONDAY 7th April 2008 - 7.30pm start. A reminder also from the league treasurer that attendance is mandatory for all clubs.

 Spring Executive Meeting 2008Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Executive meeting originally scheduled for 3rd April has had to be re-arranged. It will now be held on TUESDAY 1st APRIL at Ossett CC - 7.30pm start. Attendance (as usual) is mandatory. Would members of the management committee please note that the April committee meeting will also take place on this date.
